Quality Control A system of maintaining standards in manufactured products by testing a sample of the output against the specification. or Quality control, or QC for short, is a process by which entities review the quality of all factors involved in production. ISO 9000 defines quality control as "A part of quality management focused on fulfilling quality requirements".

Quality Assurance the maintenance of a desired level of quality in a service or product, especially by means of attention to every stage of the process of delivery or production. or Quality assurance (QA) is a way of preventing mistakes or defects in manufactured products and avoiding problems when delivering solutions or services to customers; which ISO 9000 defines as "part of quality management focused on providing confidence that quality requirements will be fulfilled". Quality Assurance Vs Quality Control The difference is that QA is process oriented and QC is product oriented. Testing, therefore is product oriented and thus is in the QC domain. Testing for quality isn't assuring quality, it's controlling it. Quality Assurance makes sure you are doing the right things, the right way

Quality Planning Quality Planning is the process for "identifying which quality standards are relevant to the project and determining how to satisfy them": Quality planning means planning howto fullfill process and product (deliverable) quality requirements: "Quality is the degree to which a set of inherent characteristics fullfill requirements" (comp.
